It’s that time of the year again to support Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and enjoy a free short stack of pancakes at your local IHOP restaurant. The eleventh annual National Pancake Day will be held on March 8, 2016 at participating IHOP restaurants from 7 am to 7 pm. Since the first national pancake celebration back in 2006, IHOP restaurants have raised nearly 20 million to support charities in local communities across the nation.
This year, IHOP’s goal is to raise 3.5 million for charity. IHOP will be offering a free short stack of their delicious buttermilk pancakes to all customers. In exchange for the free pancakes, customers will be encouraged to leave a donation for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and other designated local charities. It’s a good way to enjoy a stack of warm syrupy pancakes and leave with a satisfied belly knowing that local charities benefited from the event.
National Pancake Day has expanded internationally. In 2014, IHOP restaurants in Mexico, Canada, Puerto Rico, and St. Croix participated in the event, with the Philippines taking part in 2015. Last year, more than 1,500 IHOP restaurants participated in the event.
There is no doubt that everybody loves pancakes. So on March 8, 2016, between the hours of 7 am and 7 pm, visit your local IHOP, enjoy a stack of IHOP’s famous and fluffy buttermilk pancakes with your family and friends and leave a donation for those charities in need!
